War Hazards Compensation Act (WHCA)
The War Hazards Compensation Act (WHCA) allows certain employers, carriers, and workers’ compensation funds to request reimbursement
of workers’ compensation costs incurred as the result of an employee’s injury which takes place outside of the continental United States.
It primarily includes U.S. government contractors and NAFI employers, and only applies under certain circumstances when the injury occurs due to a
war-risk hazard. We have experience in preparing and submitting such reimbursement requests, resulting in significant financial recovery for our clients.
Accordingly, we are experienced with the U.S. Department of Labor’s filing requirements, and we can offer services to facilitate prompt and favorable
consideration of WHCA reimbursement requests.
